Share What Matter – Share Love

While we could not gather together in worship on Sunday, Pastor Poulson has prepared a devotional to continue our message series “Share What Matters” with this week’s focus: Share Love.

Show Christ and Share Love

Share What Matters in Advent and Christmas.  In Love toward us, God sent Messiah, His Son Jesus Christ. The Church is pressing forward in Jesus to heal the sin-sick, adopt the isolated, enlighten the confused and give rest to the weary. God is releasing us into his beautiful mission bathed in the fullness of his grace—prayed up, faith fortified—so we can serve the world the sacred mysteries of the coming Babe of Bethlehem.

Show Christ and Share Love to prove God’s authority and power in the life and witness of every believer. Jesus said, “If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching” (John 14:23). This way, one doesn’t need 613 rules and regulations in the OT Law, to keep them in line and in good stead with God. For love fulfills all the law and the commandments by faith in the birth, life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ.

Love is a fruit of the Spirit God will use to fulfill your destiny in Christ, by drawing people to Himself through you His disciple. The Holy Spirit is stirring in you daily very early and very quickly to grow in this quality imparted into your mind, soul, and emotions exceedingly abundantly in your walk with the Lord.

Jesus said before his death: “19 Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. 20 In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you” (John 14:19, 20). Jesus told all generations of his followers that love is the greatest power, because it will live forever. The headlines are shouting doom and despair.  Our culture is yelling Jesus denials and distractions.  But at this God-chosen time we have Christ, this Love to Share. Good News forever. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
