Red Letter CHallenge
Week 5 : Giving
For the week of the Red Letter Challenge “Giving”, we are following Jesus’s instruction to give and do so generously!
In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak,
remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’
Acts 20:35
From October 11-18th, we are collecting donations to Pan De Vida, a mission in Quito, Ecuador and our annual mission trip partner.  While COVID-19 has stopped us from hosting our annual mission trip, we are excited to partner with them to meet new needs that have arose due to COVID-19’s incredible impact on the residents in and around Quito.  Here’s a little more about what and how we can support this organization’s new expansion of their entrepreneur project through livestreaming that will serve 1,000 families!
From Pan De Vida’s Executive Director, Oscar Aguirre:
We are really excited about this project as we believe the impact for the kingdom of God. We are really thankful for the support we have from you (Pastor Elliott) and all the congregation at FOL it is because people like you that we can continue to serve with joy, in the name of Jesus.
Because of COVID, this program will function entirely on-line, at this point we have two needs:
1. Some modifications to the first floor of the Pan de Vida house to make the video recording of the different speakers suitable. This will include upgrading the 70 year old windows to something that is more sound proof. The cost of this is $3,500.
2. Then we will need to purchase video recording equipment and software/subscriptions to make this happen, including a subscription to Rightnow media –  to upload of the content we will create for the entrepreneurs up on that platform. This will be a great venue for evangelization to all these people. The cost of equipment and subscription will be around $7,500.
