Join us for a Retirement Parade

Sunday, February 7, 2021

(Debbie’s Birthday)

2 – 3:30 pm
Fountain of Life Parking Lot

Debbie has put her heart and soul into serving God through this ministry. Due to the pandemic, we cannot celebrate her in the way she deserves. However, we do know the joy it will bring her to see the children’s faces past and present. We ask that you remain in your cars at all times. Feel free to decorate your cars, bring cards and well wishes and help us celebrate with her.

Goodbyes will be brief as it is a parade.
We hope to see you there!!

It is with both sadness and celebration that we announce to you the upcoming retirement of Debbie Travis, as Fountain of Life’s Preschool Director. Our Lord God placed Debbie into this position back in September of 2001, and she has continued to show, daily, her dedication and service to our preschoolers and their families ever since! Her service to the preschool has been even more priceless this year, as she went above and beyond to navigate operating a preschool amidst a global pandemic! Debbie’s last day at the Preschool Office will be February 12. We invite you to join us in prayers for Debbie, the Preschool Staff, Students and their Families as we maneuver through the transition process. Debbie has had a way of becoming a member of each of our preschool families and we will greatly miss seeing her face every morning at drop off.  Below is a personal message from Debbie to each of our Preschool Families:

Dear Fountain of Life Church and Preschool Families,

This letter is not an easy one to write. With a heart filled with Joy and sadness, I am writing to inform you that I will be retiring on February 28, 2021.

I cannot tell you how the relationships and the memories that I have made here at the Preschool have touched my heart. And I have each of you, your children, and the ones that came before you to thank for these wonderful blessings. I feel so honored that God chose me to lead this Ministry for so many years, 17 to be exact. I want to thank all the wonderful teachers, preschool board, Bridge Ministry, volunteers, and Pastors I have had the honor and privilege to work alongside of in this ministry. And I would like to also thank Kimberly Fischvogt, who has encouraged me and has been such a wonderful friend since the very beginning as well as being a fantastic book keeper.
As for my future, I have no real set plans, except now I can be a Full time Nana and see what God has planned for the next season of my life.

I am very happy to announce that Shannon Valentine has graciously agreed to be the interim Preschool Director for the remainder of the 2020-21 Preschool year. Many of you have already begun your relationship with her and that will only continue to blossom.

Thank you again for your past, ongoing, and future support of the Preschool!

A servant of Our Lord,
Debbie
