October 26th – 27th

24 Hour Continuous Bible Reading, Combined Worship Service, and Chili Luncheon and Cook Off

All are invited to the upcoming Fall Event, the weekend of October 26-27. This year’s reading begins at I Kings 10:6 and each reader will read aloud for 15 minutes.  If reading aloud isn’t your thing, you are invited to attend and listen to the Bible reading!  In addition to the Bible reading, we will host a special combined worship service October 27th at 10:30am, followed by a chili luncheon and cook-off.
We look forward to hosting this special event and encourage you to invite your friends and family to join us as we honor the Word of God with a time of worship and fellowship! Join us as we continue this annual event and share in the spoken Word of Scripture for a continuous 24 hours.
The title Ad Fontes is taken from Psalm 42, which says:
Latin: quemadmodum desiderat cervus ad fontes aquarum ita desiderat anima mea ad te Deus.
Translation: In the same way that the stag is drawn unto the sources of water, so is my soul drawn unto you, God.
God’s Word is a source of refreshment for our souls.
Additionally, individuals are encouraged to sing in the Choir, assist with the Luncheon as volunteers, or bring food. Sign Ups for the Bible Reading, Choir, and Luncheon Food and Volunteers are available in the Narthex or Online.

Registration for the Chili Luncheon and Cookoff is Now Closed.
